$(sore_head)--
some upcoming photos from 2 newly processed films, scanning one roll now, the other's still hanging off the light in the bathroom drying, sore head and feeling really tired for some reason, no idea why, was asleep before 9 last night and up at 6 or so, so it may be tomorrow before all these fotos are uploaded, but I'll make another entry to say that they are
fixed, thanks to this page the problem is due to MT creating the stuff in the feeds from excerpts, rather than the full entries, which is what causes it to strip stuff out
why the hell does my MT install strip images out of what it shoves into the xml feeds, yet mwk's works fine, I've compared the default templates from my version and his (as he's still using an old one) and there's no real differences, there's a remove_html="1" thing in the .xml version (which isn't even what I'm using) and I've tried putting that in, made no frigging difference, if anyone knows what's doing it, please be letting me know so I can fix it, kthnx
netapplet is really quite sweet, sits in your notification area (so works on KDE, GNOME, XFCE, anything else that provides such an area to the freedesktop.org standard) and shows this when you click on it

8 frigging am on a sunday and someone in the building decides that this is a good time to start playing bass laden music at high volume, or high enough that the bass of it reaches me anyway, seriously, wise the bap
some style updated done at the planet and rss feeds added too, really should get around to messing with the templates and css stuff on here, make it look a bit better, when I can be arsed
boredom lead to me setting up a planet for local(ish) blogs that I read, need to poke some people about fixing the feeds output by their software, but mostly works pretty well, planet.bazza.com
Wow, this is the first update of the year, heh, IBM finally sorted out my laptop AC Adapter, after 4 bloody weeks, so work on the photo gallery stuff will soon resume. Also on that subject, I got a ton of jessops vouchers for chrimbo, and used them to get things for processing film by myself, and a film scanner (as I don't have the facilities to make a darkroom really), so all that's going, I've done about 4 rolls in the past week or so, results are at http://photos.bazza.com/index.cgi/film. So that's all nice, and fun, I'll probably borrow gavin's 20D and take photos of the stages for the people clueless to how this kinda thing is done.
Other news, I was inspired by watching Long Way Round in which Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman biked from London to New York, going east. Now, that may be a bit much for someone who doesn't even have their license yet, never mind doesn't have the kind of resources that they do ... so a plan formulated to do a round the UK trip, so I've started planning that, worked out pretty much where I want to go, and mapped/timed it with autoroute (yeah, not free software, sorry) and it all looks doable alright, the route's here
