Gig stuff
Though I'd cleared it with the band and people in the venue, while walking into the Bunker and getting ready to pay, I double check, wave the camera and say "you're okay with this, right?" one of the guys standing around checks my name and says "he's fine" so in free, though I wasn't expecting it, introduced to the band, and then random other member of one of the other bands who were on comes over and asks if the camera's digital, and if I'm taking photos of all the bands, so I agree to take some of them too, and get an email address to send them on (and later talk to people in the other two bands too about sorting them out).

so four bands in total, first lot said that it was pretty much their first gig, I'll have to get their name off them, as I've got an SMS from them today about where the pictures are etc (update, the vals)

Me playing around while the 2nd band were setting up

Catch (no, that's what they're called)

Lotion, these guys were rather heavier and more active on stage, so made for the movement effect working rather better

The main act, the Black Tokens
For some reason, flickr hasn't got most of the ones of the black tokens in proper sizes, or I wasn't paying attention when exporting them from f-spot and didn't resize them to my usual size.
Over 200 photos altogether, all at the usual place, here
... went pretty well, got a good number of photos, some good, some not so good, tried to not use flash too much, but they don't put much lighting on in the back bar.

Dave, and Claire (who runs the show) performing Portishead's "Give Me A Reason To Love You"
Davey, who asked me later if he can get prints from photos taken of him during the evening
Tommy, who came to me before performing and asked for photos
Didn't catch this guy's name, almost doing a one man band though. People started to get up dancing at this stage though.
The last act of the evening, although the singer and guitar player are regulars, they don't usually bring a bass player too.
was in one of the local Jessops shops yesterday, as my mum was in getting something for someone else for christmas, and I asked if they'd the Sigma 10-20mm lens in, on the off chance that I could have a play with one. After the guy looked in the computer for it, oddly enough, there weren't any around, but he said they had the Canon EF-S one (£200 more though) and an 8mm one in, if I'd like to play with those, so of course I did.

and have another from yesterday afternoon, just because

where you're in a pub, and the barman, after turning someone else away comes over and says "the bar's just shut, want another, or do you want me to hold it til everyone's left?"
